In 2016, the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH Zurich) signed a memorandum of understanding with Isfahan University of Technology to initiate cooperation in research and education.
"…The Memorandum of Understanding between ETH Zurich and Isfahan University of Technology expired in February 2021. The cooperation was focused on environmental science and water resources.
The research activities at ETH are in line with applicable law, including but not limited to export control regulations.” (September 24, 2021)
