UANI Applauds Redeployment of U.S. Air and Naval Assets in Response to Iranian Threat

The U.S. must no longer pursue “don’t do it” or “take the win” policies

(New York, NY) – United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) CEO Ambassador Mark D. Wallace released the following statement today applauding the redeployment of U.S. military assets to the Middle East and calling on the U.S. to strike a broad array of military targets inside Iran should the Iranian regime attack Israel:

“We applaud the redeployment of the USS Abraham Lincoln and other air and naval assets in response to the Iranian regime’s threats to attack Israel. Nevertheless, the U.S. must no longer pursue “don’t do it” or “take the win” policies, which have emboldened the Iranian regime and put the region on the precipice of war. The U.S. must make it absolutely clear that should Iran’s regime attack Israel – either directly or indirectly through its proxies – that the U.S. will strike a vast array of military targets inside Iran. Never have the Iranian regime and its proxies acted so aggressively and been so willing to strike with impunity. That must change.

“The U.S. must deter aggression with clear statements and rules of engagement that include any and all military targets inside Iran. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei needs to know that there will be severe military consequences for the IRGC if it decides to attack Israel. At this stage, this is the only measure that can change Khamenei’s calculus and lead to de-escalation. The absence of such deterrence makes the dangers to U.S. and Israeli interests much more severe and war much more likely.”
