U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan to Speak at UANI Documentary Premiere on U.S. Seizure of the Suez Rajan

(New York, NY) – United Against Nuclear Iran (UANI) announced today that U.S. Senator Dan Sullivan (R-AK) will give keynote remarks at the premiere screening of a new documentary produced by Iran International TV, focusing on the illicit shipping of Iranian oil and the U.S. seizure of the Suez Rajan vessel. The event will take place in New York on September 24, 2024, coinciding with the Iranian regime’s president’s speech at the U.N. General Assembly (UNGA). President Biden named Senator Sullivan as a representative of the United States to the 79th Session of the UNGA this month.

Senator Sullivan, a staunch advocate of robust sanctions enforcement against Iran, will join the premiere to lend his support to the efforts to combat Iran’s illicit activities and ensure sanctions are fully upheld. The film not only showcases the intricacies of sanctions evasion but also highlights the global security implications tied to Iran’s ongoing defiance of international law, including its military support for Russia in its war against Ukraine. 

The documentary highlights UANI’s critical role in tracking Iran’s sanctions evasion, culminating in the U.S. Department of Justice's criminal resolution and the historic seizure of the Suez Rajan oil tanker in 2023. Using cutting-edge satellite imagery and data analysis, UANI has been at the forefront of exposing how Iran employs a fleet of "ghost ships" to illegally transport oil, generating revenue to support its destabilizing activities, including funding terrorist groups like Hezbollah, Hamas, and the Houthis.

The screening will take place at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the Park Avenue Screening Room (500 Park Avenue, New York, NY). The event will feature a panel discussion with key experts involved in the Suez Rajan case following the screening.
