"The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Regional Corps Quds operates in the province of Gilan. EU-listed Brigadier General Mohammad Abdollahpour is the commander of this entity. During the 2022 protests, Gilan province has seen violent crackdowns by Iranian security forces, including the IRGC. The IRGC Regional Corps Quds is therefore responsible for serious human rights violations in Iran."1
