"Hassan Madadi has been the acting prosecutor in Alborz province since at least 2020. In this capacity, he is responsible for several serious human rights violations, most notably that of the denial of the right to a fair trial during the 2022/2023 protests. He is therefore responsible for serious human rights violations in Iran."1
As Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor of Karaj, Hassan Madadi is responsible for the mass arrest of protesters and ordering the use of deadly weapons against protesters during the 2022-2023 nationwide protests in Karaj, resulting in the death of at least 8 protestors.2
